1. Warm-Up - "How Has the Truth Changed?" (in reading journal)
Prompt: A truth can change when what you perceive differs from what is actually happening.
For example, if you assume that all people who wear glasses are intelligent, but meet someone
with glasses who is not, the truth about people who wear glasses has changed for you. For each
picture, describe the truth that changed for you and explain what occurred that caused that truth
to change.
2. Unit 1 - Can Truth Change?
  • Introducing the Big Question (LB 2-3)
    • Roots, prefixes and suffixes
  • Introduction: Fiction and Nonfiction (LB 6-7)
